Home"lens cap" problem i got my cam in december of last year it is a JVC GR-DX97U, stays on a black screen and says nothing but "lens cap" and the lens cap was removed and it had no picture so i started to film and i played it back and could only hear audio this is the same with the memory mode, it shows what i filmed earlier, and everything is fine butwhen i try and record it get nothing but audio, whats wrong? FULL details sent via DIRECT e-mail on the procedure used to obtain the free repair (qualified!) on this manufacturing defect. gosh i have the same problem w/ the same product i heard from someone that it is probably having a malfuntion because either 1. the sensor for the lens cap is in bad condition, or 2. it has been aimed directly to the suns rays. if anyone knows how to reset the camera it might help for number 2 as for one all you can do really is get it fixed buy a proffesional or buy a new one. either way they both cost quite a bit. Hopefully someone who knows more will help. I have this same exact problem. The camera was working properly a few weeks ago and now it does not. Will play back previously recorded videos but does not show anything on the screen, its just black and says to remove the lens cap even though it does not have it. Please let me know if you find a solution to this problem. |
