My husband and I, who may be the least handy people on the planet, have been dealing with a "blinking" television for months. (It had taken a while to warm up for years... we just thought the television was like that.) We figured the lovely Sony Trinotron was just dying, and we'd replace it when it finally bit the dust. Well, today we thought it had shown its last bad movie. Then, we found this website. We took off the back of the television, with it unplugged for safety. We cleaned off the dust so we could ready which screw was which. With baited breath ("baited" for fear we were about to electrocute ourselves), we plugged it back in to begin the black screw portion of the program, and darned if it just didn't WORK again! Apparently, the ten tons of dust in the back of the television was the problem.
Anyway, THANK YOU for the advice. This is stinkin' amazing! We just fixed our television, which saved us the $1000 we were going to spend on a new LCD TV.
