I just bought JVC camcorder Model No. GR-D370U and every time I switchthe video/memory button to memory turn the other switch to play I get screen that say "M" and has an arrow pointing up on it. I can't operate the menu because none of the buttons do anything. I can't intialize my memory card. Please help me out.

You may also be in Manual mode. Look in the manual page 29 - this talks about menu settings.

Hello. I recently bought the same item as you and noticed that also. Then I figured out that there was no memory card in the camcorder. Camcorders come with some built in memory but you have to go and buy a memory card. Once i bought mine and put it in, everything worked good. Here is the memory card information if you want the easiest solution - SanDisk "SD Memory Card" There are many different memory cards but the JVC GR-D370U only takes SD or Multimediacard. You can buy the SanDisk brand at Best Buy or any major electronic store that sells camcorders. I hope this helped you, email me if you have any more trouble.
