    Thank you for the info but it is a 1 week past the warranty for the 90 days labor. I cannot believe the problems this thing has caused. Why does the camcorder do this? It has never recorded more than 5 minutes.

    Ok Bea...thanks. Unfortunately you need service. The good thing is that if you have only had it about 3 months...you may still be in full warranty or JVC may allow you the full coverage if you are not that far out of labor warranty. You have 1 year parts / 90 days labor from date of purchase. See if your kids can provide a proof of purchase as that will be needed for service. Once you get it..call 800-252-5722 for the nearest factory center so you can get it repaired. If you are not very far out of labor coverage..ask the rep or their manager at the 800 # if they can "accomdate" your labor coverage 1 time for you. They are usually very nice and helpful. Don't wait on this...with warranty dates in question you need to move quick so you can take advantage of any warranty coverage you may have. Hope this helps.
