Hi, my dsc t9 has a white screen too. I have no idea what's wrong, but after reading all these reply's, I am in the same boat. Please forward the directions on how to fix this problem. I tried flicking it as I read on an earlier reply, but to no avail, voila, it did not work. thanks in advance dianna

I have had this camera for more than a year. Just installed Energizer Lithium batteries in it and got the white screen of death you all have described. I think the higher initial voltage of these hi-tech batteries is having an effect on the LCD screens Sony uses in this camera. I'm pretty sure the batteries are causing this.
