Homesony I recieved a Sony DSC-S40 for christmas and have had no bother, until today. I switched it on taking photo's as usual then the screen went blank. It is now a white colour with no picture showing the camera is still taking picturs but not chowing on the screen. Any idea's as to what the problem is and how much it would cost to repair? Many thanks.

hi, can you mail me too?, please, i have the same problem of the white screen with my sony DSC-40 Hi, Could you email them to me as well please. kevingoffe@yahoo.co.uk I would also greatly appreciate the information as well. I'm having the same problem with my screen turning white. Please send correction document ... Thanks in advnce . ROD Please forward the supporting documents and graphics to me as well. I have a white screen also. Thanks I own a DSC-S40 and lately it's been not letting me take pictures, and just recently the picture went blank and turned white. Can something please help me with this problem if you know how to fix it? please send me everything quickly. Send me everything as soon as possible also. Just had the identical problem after almost exactly a year - which seems to be the common time period for this problem! Found this on an Amazon review and it seems to work (for the time being)!: " Jacobe's solution is to reset by pressing all 3 buttons on the back of the camera(MENU; Display/LCD on/off; Image size/Delete) simultaneously while turning on the camera. This is a workable but short-term solution as the camera, with its integral flaw, will continue to "excite" with the unpredictable white screens of death." if you happen to have the file that shows how to fix the 'white screen' problem could you please pass it along, thanks. |
