thanks you guys - really!. These posts helped a lot. The Canon customer service was very helpful to me also. Luckily I live close enough to a Canon repair shop (Irvine, CA) so I'm gonna' drop it off. My only issue is that for me the problems intermittent. I wish it would break "all the way". Thanks again.
