Home | First message in thread | Previous messageI keep seeing class action suits against JVC for the safe mode problem but is anyone ever going to do a suit for the lens cap / CCD problem? Sony has already been sued for this very same thing. Since most of these CCD's are manufactured by Sony why hasn't someone figured out that Sony should pay for all our repairs? At the very least isn't it logical that if Sony's parts are defective in Sony's cameras they're probably bad in JVC's cameras, too? Not directing this at you personally. Just very frustrated that I have to pay $150 to fix my CCD on my gr-df430us when about 30 other JVC models can get fixed for free. Used the thing only twice! You know where I can find a suit for the lens cap error? Darlene

No, sorry, I don't know of any lens-cap class-action lawsuit being organized. We've been working on this JVC lawsuit for two years now, and from what little I have learned from the lawyers, a lawsuit has to be focused and not include too many claims or it has fewer chances of standing in court. I hope you find out how to get your problem solved. Consider what many of us did: Stop throwing good money after bad and get an inexpensive camcorder from a competitor. My Panasonic 3CCD has been working great. |
