i can't paste any vcd's songs from my computer to my mp4 digital player.why ? how ? what can i do ??

Please anyone help me. I am in a great problem. I bought a mp4 Player which supports only .amv formatted files. Please if any one has the software of converting the .mpg formatted files to .amv formatted send me in my e-mail address. It's really very urgent. My MP4 player gets it's battery charged from the laptop, but the laptop does not show it as a removable device....in short it does not see it or recognize it. Hence I am not able to download anything on it...please suggest. Thnx.

you have to convert it to mp4 format 0r 3gp,dont change its format by renaming.you will need an allok mpeg4 converter just download it and install
