I cannot figure out what is wrong with it and I,m sorry I do not know the model number. I know its a (D) series model and I think the year is 2000. Thankyou, Stephanie

Hi Stephanie - I have a 32 inch JVC and like the other people who responded to this inquiry - I had the same big black square over 90% of the picture. Your closed caption quick fix worked.
