HomeSony Error Message..."For Infolithium Battery Only" I have several pieces of Sony equipment and exclusively use Infolithium batteries. On my VX2100 Camcorder, I started getting the "For InfoLithium Battery Only" in the LCD and the camera would shut itself down. The surprising thing is I don't even have a battery in the camera as I am using it as a "studio" camera with the AC adapter. The camera works fine with the battery. It will not work with the AC adapter. It will not charge the battery either. And since I have several AC adapters that I can verify are working fine...I have tried them with this camera and I get the same results...with the AC adapter, the camera powers up...gives me the "For InfoLithium Battery Only" code...then shuts off! Does anyone have any ideas about this? Thanks, Chuck

you have a bad contact on the ac adapter because you have 3 contacs for two wires from the suply and if one the two contacts on the same wire is not good you have this message. Clean the contacts inside your camera in order to have good three contacts!! I have found this effect when trying to use a battery at the place of the ac adapter. Sadly, I have the same problem with my $1,000 Sony camera. The day of my kids play :( Rees I have the same problem with a Sony Mavica FD95. My problem is a sometime problems. Changing batteries corrects the problems sometimes. I have the same problem occuring after a years use. I'm having the exact same problem. I've been searching various forums for solutions, but I only seem to find people with the same difficulty. Please help someone! |
