JVC GR-D20 problem

GR-D20 problem
My JVC GR-D20 has stopped working all of a sudden.
Even with the lens cap removed,I get the "remove lens cap" warning and the LCD screen is blank.
The manual viewfinder is also blank.
I've tried recording and it is only recording sound.
It's like the lens has suddenly stopped working.
The camera is approx 3 years old,but has only had around 8 hours use,if that.

Have the same problem, my camcorder has just stopped, my brothers stopped about 5 months ago, this being roughly how much time difference there was between us buying the machines. Looked at JVC site says we need receipt for proof of purchase, can't find receipts but have proof as both bought using credit cards. Have you had any luck getting repair?

it can be faulty CCD image sensor,contact JVC service.
