That is why I didn't purchase an extended warranty on any of them. Last I knew, they were really good products and I didn't think I'd need one. Boy was I wrong! lol I wish AIWA made more products because I have an old AIWA system hooked up to a 12 year old Magnavox TV in my bedroom that sounds just as good as if it were new. I love it. It and the TV both have been through several moves and both still work great. Anyway, thanks for letting me know I'm not the only one whose opinion of Sony has changed. Jackie
