Thank you for the advice, but I sold those pieces of crap a couple months ago. Hopefully to someone more electronically inclined than I. I am SOOOO done with Sony products. I had purchased a Trinitron TV, 5 disc CD changer and the the SAVA system at the same time. Now, 4 years later, I only have the TV left working and I have gone through 2 PS2 systems in a year. I do NOT recommend Sony to anyone.

i worked in sony service for 20 years, going back to 82. when i came on they still made the best consumer products. but they dropped quality control and went for mass production. let the service centers take the heat for piss poor products. that SAVA was a piece of crap. i cringed every time i saw 1 come in.
but ive had good luck with the products ive bought over the years. still have em all. however, they come from they that earlier generation that was built to last. gary
