Hi. Did u figure out what was wrong with your TV. I have a similar problem. Mine is a KV32S40. When I turn the TV on everything is fine. After a few minutes, the video shrinks and shuts blank. Audio is still OK. I tried to mess with some components in the V-OUt section of the PCBoard, and changesd a cap, and got it to work for 10 hrs, and it is doing the same again. In some other msg. boards, I heard that sony had a reputation for bad solderd joints that act up over a period of time. I am planning on taking the board out and inspecting for some visual signs before getting it repaired or junked. Sad part is that it is only 4-5 yrs old and everything was excellent. Will appreciate if you could share your findings. Thanks. Sonyowner

For what it's worth - my KV27-series "died" on me several years ago. I had purchased the aftermarket extended warranty through Montgomery Wards (I told you it was several years ago!) and they had a repair facility right here in town. Long story, short version: Took it to shop, they plugged it in, it worked fine! I tried everything I could think of at the house short of simply UNPLUGGING the unit from the wall. That's all it took to "reset" my television set - and it's been in daily use ever since. Never saw the problem happen again. Maybe you'll get as lucky as I did?? Good luck!
