Home | Previous messageHad the same error message on my TRV-720, and could not come up with a solution for weeks until I found this website: http://www.protechcam.com/wwwboard/messages/127.html Now the fix you will not believe, nor did I at first, but requires you to power off the unit completely and "Smack it" a few times fairly hard. Now you may do this at your risk, but I swear it fixed mine and all the other people listed at the above web site. I thought it was a joke - but it works!! Good Luck! TJR

I am floored I do not know what to say but I thought this was A JOKE joke was on me lol. I just want to say thank you and happy holidays Thanks it really works Gracias realmente funciona. Unbelievable. Saved me from suicide. :) Hey everybody, I am a football coach and we rely on film for everything. When I was working with a Sony D8 in '04 this happened, but I had no solutions and passed the problem on to somebody else. It's 2008 and this message pops up an two different cameras. I read the forum, tried it, and now both work like a charm, so far. I'll let you know if they don't over time. Give it SMACK!!!!!!! It worked for me on two different Sony D8's! T-Rav WOW it work My camera got this code 1years and my mom got a new one but now it works thanks "smack it" sorry for my bad english I don't belive it , your solution worked great for me and saved me $1000 not to buy a new cam . I highly apprecited your advise. Thanks, Tariq Before anyone smashes their camcorders to bits (think of all those tiny non-serviceable pieces), try just giving the battery a sharp set of raps. Search on 'Lithium depassivation' for more technical information. I cannot believe it but it work on mine also. I just smacked the bottom of it in the palm of my hand about 3 times and the code went away! |
