our kv35v65 has been doing this for a while. 6 mos before the warrentee was up we took it in to the shop to be looked at but they said they couldn't make it fail I think that they was lieing. We brought it home and it has worked for a year now its doing it again its 6 yrs old.

    Guess what...? My TV is now working perfectly. I have a friend that is a TV repairman and he looked up info on the Sony Web site and his advice worked perfectly. The problem was with a resistor. If you take the back off your TV(or someone else that knows what NOT to touch) find the circuit board with a little resistor on the left panel that is numbered R-536. It is a .47 Om 1/4 watt fusable resistor. My neighbor soldered a new on in and PRESTO, it works PERFECTLY. I hope this helps. Anthony
