Home | First message in thread | Previous messageGuess what...? My TV is now working perfectly. I have a friend that is a TV repairman and he looked up info on the Sony Web site and his advice worked perfectly. The problem was with a resistor. If you take the back off your TV(or someone else that knows what NOT to touch) find the circuit board with a little resistor on the left panel that is numbered R-536. It is a .47 Om 1/4 watt fusable resistor. My neighbor soldered a new on in and PRESTO, it works PERFECTLY. I hope this helps. Anthony

I had the no video but sound with blinking red light thing going on.I put in a 1 ohm resistor now I get a pic then snow, pic then snow over and over. Any ideas? I fixed my Sony Trinitron model KV-32S20 using the advice given by Anthony and Paul. TV had sound but no picture all of a sudden.I replaced the R-536 with a 1 ohm resistor. TV is working great now. Thanks for the info! Thanks for the info Where do you think we can get that part. My hubbie does know some about electrical circuts and such. Would the part # be the same as yours? It works!!!!! Thanks Anthony. I replaced the R-536 with 1 ohm resistor. Now it works perfectly. I hope it will last for a while. |
