I have bought a new JVC television from UK model av-32h77sk av-28h77sk Iam able to view only 4 to 5 channels after I connect my Cable , and there is no sound . If I connec the same cable to my Sony television Iam able to view all the channels offered by my cable TV operator but unable to do so on my new JVC Television.. I bought a JVC I'Art (AV-27F803, I believe) nearly 2 years ago. It is shutting off by itself and the "On Timer" button is flashing. In the manual, it says that when this happens I must unplug the tv and call for service. Sometimes I notice some static-type lines across the screen and just before it shuts off the bottom half of the screen will go black. Is there anything I can do to fix this before bringing it in somewhere? Thank you in advance!

I have a JVC FS-V10 compact stereo system. I left it on, with a CD playing overnight, and the unit wouldn't work in the morning. When turning it on, the stereo would turn off within seconds by itself. Also, the backlit display would not light up and the loading mechanism would not open, it would hardly budge.
