i powered it on, everything was fine, but the screen was all black(the LCD screen and viewfinder screen). Then i recharged my battery, that didnt help. I checked if i was able to atleast watch the video from the tape inside, and i was able to watch that. But when i wanted to actually do some recording the screen was completely black. I did everything i could think of to fix it, but no luck. Is there a way to fix it? Or do i need to go out and get it fixed by some store?

I have a JVC AV27730. Was working fine but now it will occasionally show only a horizontal line in the middle of the screen(sound works fine). Can get it to revert to normal with pounding on the top. It's starting to take harder and harder pounding to fix it. What could be wrong?

On a model GR-SXM260, I get an error code E02. I have tried replacing the battery, hooking directly to power and basically the thing is locked up. What's your suggestion?

I have JVC GR-DVP 7E 3 years old, I can not get the unit to power-up period, battery or AC unit will not work. Any Ideas. Gidyman

Stacey, can you advise on a "lens cap " error message on JVC GR-D20 camcorder approx 18 months old. All was fine when last used a couple of months ago, although we did get a headcleaning message from time to time even soon after cleaning!! thanks, Dave.

Ref. JVC HR-XVC25U DVD/VCR Combo Unit: I am having trouble with the VCR Timer Function (It keeps defaulting to DVD operation -- totally ignoring what I programmed into timer). JVC Customer Service suggests I reset the unit, but they won't email me the reset instructions (they expect me to transcribe by hand as they read!). Can you email me the reset instructions? Thanks
