I have a JVC GR DVL310 video camera that won'y playback the tapes i record. I can record no problem, but just cant playback. If i rewind while trying to play the tape, i get spots of colour on an otherwise blue screen. Cleaned it with a tape cleaner and still nothing. Any help you can provide would be great.

I bought a JVC GRV-DM90 miniDV video cam a couple of years ago - quite expensive little gadget - and it went broke about 6 months after I bought is, repetitively displaying something like "Error 04 - Remove and replace the battery" everytime I'd try to record anything with it. I put it in a drawer since then... I found it back last week and tried again after charging batteries fully... There the error was again! A little browsing through the Internet brought up a class action lawsuit against JVC with litterally tons of users affected with the very same problem on different JVC models, including that one! Now, I am very tempted to join that C.A.L... Just wanted to let you know that, just in case you'd think about a better solution for me :-) Thanks (maybe)... -- Olivier.

Could you tell me the web page you found with all the information on please. My camcorder went into "safety mode" last year for no apparant reason. I have been quoted around £170 to 'repair' so any help would be appreciated. Thanks Dave

I have a JVC GR-AXM50U that worked fine until a few months ago. I replaced the battery and it seemed to be fine but yesterday I keep getting a tape end message even when I put a new tape in. Also I it will not let me rewind or fastforward in play mode. Is this a serious problem? Can I fix it myself?
