I BOUGHT A USED JVC GR-D32 IT WORKS WELL THE CD (SOFTWARE) WAS NOT INCLUDED AND I CAN T TRANSFER ANY VIDEO TO PC I INSTALL A FIREWIE CARD AND I BOUGHT THE FIREWIRE CABLE BUT THE CAMCORDER STILL UNKNOWN TO THE PC WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST ME THANKS

My camcorder screen is black and I see the message that the lens cap is on, when it is not. It looks like there is a "white balance" icon on the screen. It still plays tapes that have been recorded and it records sound, but no video. I first noticed this problem the other day. I haven't used the camcorder in a few months, but plugged it up to charge, then when I had a full charge and tried to use it, I get nothing but a black picture - black on the LCD screen, black through the viewfinder. The first message I get is a lens cap error message, even though the lens cap is not on. I've tried re-setting the camera to factory specs to no avail. I think that the icon on the screen is a "white balance" icon, but trying to adjust the white balance does nothing. I have review the manual and gotten no where. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sir, My camera Model number is GR-DVL915U digital video camera. No power up. The battery is ok and is fully charged. Neither Play nor Record nor indication comes up. Could you help me in locating the problem and getting it serviced please. I am in Chennai, India. Regards, R.Kalyanaraman

hi i have the jvc grd270u, every time i'm going to record it says lens cap on, and the focus is either too far or close... and i dont have the lens cap on.... what can i do about it?

I bought a GR-D250 in august 2005, have only used it a hadnful of times. It has now gone into safeguard mode, and of course it wont come out of it. I hav researched as much as I can on th einternet, only to find out this is a very common problem, and that there is a pending class action lawsuit regarding it. So please reply, adn tell me how I go about repairing my camera? I feel like buying JVC was a mistake, please let your ability to service your product save your reputation! I have a JVC VCR, I have had it at least 5yrs plus, I have had it worked on and no problem with that. The problem is a few weeks ago we had a power outage and when power came back on the time on the VCR is wrong. Numerous times I have gone in to correct the time but it does not work. I am unable to record because of the incorrect time. Please help me on this?

Hi, I have a GR-53AS which has hardly been used for about 2 years. A few days ago I wanted to use it but the video on lcd had multi-colored lines appearing on it. I tried recording and the output also showed lines. After a bit, it started only showing a white line that waved. It also showed that the lens cap is still on, even though it was off. Now, even though there is display, the LCD is too dark to see anything on it properly. The view finder is showing the white wavey lines. Please help. Regards, Zeeshan Arif
