My JVC television just keeps turning off. If I unplug it for a minute the plug it back in it turns back on for a couple of hours then it turns off again, over and over.

The camera, when opened up, seems to indicate a manufacturing date of early 2000, according to marks on a molded calender inside. The camera is in Los Angeles.

I had my RX-558V on, and on it's face while trying to plug everything into the back. I smelled something electrical and now it doesn't work. It'll come on and indicate FM then switch to overload right away. I checked all the little fuses and they seem ok. What did I melt or burn up? Please rsvp soon, I need my bach, mozart etc....... I have an old JVC GR-60 camcorder (purchased in 1989). It is not working properly (battery doesn't seem to make anything work properly. LCD flickers, etc. I would like to send the unit for service/repair. Is the unit still servicable? Appreciate your assistance...........Andrew
