Assistance for Error Codes

If anyone is having any kind of Error code, clean head icon or any other concern, contact me first before assuming you have a problem. My e-mail is Ssample@jvc.com. I am knowledgeable and have helped many people past their error codes without service. Several things can cause error codes and I would be more than happy to assist you in determining if you do indeed have a problem and what options you have available. Please refer to this site if you contact me. Thank you. Stacy Sample Service Coordinator Houston, Texas

I have a TRV460 camcorder bought in 2003/4. I got a 'dirty heads - needs cleaning' message when in the camera mode. I put in another tape and did not get the message again. I have a head cleaning tape bought in Japan and in Japanese. I cannot read the Japanese. What do you do with the head cleaning tape - put in record for 10 seconds?. Ray

Hi Stacy, Really hope you can help me out. Have a Sony DCR-DVD405 camcorder. The camcorder is now 1 year old and did not have any problems with it. However today I tried to input a brand new JVC DVD-RW. When inserting the new dvd I get 'Disc error - remove disc C:13:06'. I asked a friend who has a Sony Camcorder DCR-DVD106 to see whether the disc works. In this camcorder the disc worked just fine. So we formatted the disc with the format 'Video'. However when trying to insert the now new formatted disc into my camcorder DVD405 I get the message 'Disc error - Remove Disc C:13:02'. I am bit puzzled as I was able to take an older JVC -RW disc which I used previously. I was able to record on this 'old' disc, could finalize and format without any problems. So I wonder what is going on. Also I have seen this 'Disc Error' issue seems to be a wide spread one. Many thanks for your support. Silvio

Hi Panasonic DMR EX85 DVD recorder. I am on my second machine and am still having problems with picture freeze and stutters on TV viewing and TV recording. I have had an error code U80 with total loss of picture / signal. It does seem to me to be signal related as a weak signal is worse, although it still occurs on 10/10 signal strength/quality. Panasonic simply ask to return it to a service centre. Do you know what this error code means?

My Fisher TAD-994(24 disc) plays a disc that is in it but flashes M-error when you try to load/eject a disc. Any thoughts?
