Re: Sony Trinitron TVs

John Posted Apr 23, 2010, in response to:anonymous

Bought the KV-36XBR450 in 2001 and it refused to turn on about two weeks ago. I tried the blow dryer to the back of the TV but it did not work. I will try unplugging it for about two days and see if that does the trick. I am not holding my breath. Considering we paid over $2000 for the TV, I would expect it to last AT LEAST 10 years if not 15! My parents had an old Zenith that lasted for 18 years! If I have to pay for a repair I would rather buy a new LED LCD and it will definitely NOT be a SONY. Most likely a Samsung. My sons are so sad that they can't play Wii. Bad Sony. Bad, bad SONY.
