Well I can say that as far as the E-02 error code is concerned that in most cases is caused by a problem with the cassette tape drive spindles, this usually being because of a sticky tape so another must always be tried, however the lens cap one is another thing altogether and is something that many DF model owners suffered from due to a defect in either the image sensor or in some cases the mode switch. You cannot really do anything about the latter as its always a repair job.
