Its January 4, 2010. My JVC was in storage for 4 years becuase it did not work. I took the advice of the posts on this site, removed the tape, wacked it on both sides....voila...it works. Corpal punishment works. It worked when I was a kid, and it works like a charm on my Camcorder. Shame on JVC,
