HomeTape ejects when inserted Hello, I have a JVC GY DV5101 camcorder, and when i insert a tape it gets pulled into the drive ok, but then ejects again. I opened the cover and i can see that the motor starts to pull the assembly , but then it seems to jam and then it pushes the tape back out again. Something is blocking the mechanism from going further, It does not get as far as dropping the mechanism down to pull the tape from the cassette). When it does stick, the assembly is well and truely stuck, it is rock solid !! Has anyone experienced or seen this before. Thanks Gordon

Just purely out of curiosity I take it that this happens with more than one tape? and also when the device is powered from the mains and not just the battery? If of course it does in both circumstances mentioned then it appears as though an element of dismantling is going to be required to enable a proper investigation of the mechanism. |
