Hi. Its almost 5 years since you posted, Sorry for holding up yer remodel. That Nutone Scovill 5 VA, 10 volt, 515-N is the transformer for yer doorbell. It transforms the 120 volt coming in thru the thicker cable to the lower voltage (10?) going to your doorbell and chime via those thin little wires.
