HomeJVC GR-D90 E06 Error and Cassette holder does not open When i turn the camcord on it says E06 unit in safeguard mode remove and reattach battery. I heard that that shows when one is not using a JVC tape, but i do and when this problem occured there was no cassette in at the time. Now When i open the cassette holder cover, My cassette holder does not open automatically. Ive tried it many times periodically, so i cannot enter the tape and the E06 error still shows! Can you plz help me?

This can be caused with a sticky tape jamming the capstan spindle from turning, however the fact that you say there isn't a tape in the device can indicate that the capstan itself has possibly developed a defect, if you can manage it try giving the capstan spindle / roller a slight turn to make sure it hasnt stuck. One of the first things to try is to remove the battery for about five minutes and see if the situation is still the same after this, unfortunately though chances are its very likely to be the same. |
