You really have to explain far more about the procedure you are presently using to try and capture the video, and this info should include the make of PC - the operating system it runs on - if it has any video capture software installed - and what connections you are using between the camcorder and the PC. I feel you are adopting a little bit of a simplistic approach to a procedure that can in many cases be fraught with problems.
