Re: JVC GR-D90u Condensation Error

tolakos Ellin Posted Nov 18, 2008, in response to:Matt Sullivan

I would like to thank Tazo for his helpful directions. I own a Jvc grd20 videocam for about 5 years, i change last year the CCD after is dead, i pay 100 Euros on service, after awhile i get the E02 and E04 messages (to fix those errors i used a cleaning tape for a few times and only maxell or panasonic tapes which are very good in quality) and a few days now the condensation error. I followed Tazo's instructions especially the suggestion for the diagram note for the screws, i unplugged three connections on my camera, first on back of the battery chamber, second the microphone's plug and finally the big white cable which separates the camera in two individual pieces. I try to tighten all screws inside the camera and in my surprise some of them were very loose. I did some cleaning with a soft cloth and use some alcohol in a few parts, but very carefully not to erase part numbers. I let the camera open for half hour and then i put all parts back together. That's it. Today is the 3d day and camera works perfect, even better than before. I suggest to you all try it without delays, the solution (i believe) is on camera's reset. Again THANKS Tazo, be well my friend, you saved me for buying a new camera (for now)!
