Although two years old should not be considered old as far as the actual camcorder is concerned, unfortunately batteries (irrespective of brand) can be "iffy" by that time, so the problem you have could be caused by the battery itself. However if this proves not to be the case then either the charger is at fault OR the camcorders internal charging regulator circuit has developed a fault, which if the latter could well be costly as far as service charges are concerned. As in common with most modern electronic equipment nowadays, there are a few variables involved in what the actual cause of the problem is, this being the case its really impossible to state accurately whether or not its worth repairing as it also involves your own personal financial situation.
