It should be noted that you will not receive any official replies from JVC via this web site, as indeed has always been the case, but as a non JVC tech I can advise that the symptoms mentioned can be caused by one of the internal fuses having blown, something which is known can happen for reasons not necessarily connected with any fault condition, and replacing the fuse in most cases restores full operation of the camcorder.
Access to these fuses require the case to be partially removed, this also applying to the main PC board for purposes of gaining access to the rear of the board where the fuse is soldered into.
