I Purchased my Sony KV35V36 in Dec of 1997. I have loved the TV more than any other. It had a great picture. The Color was right on, much better than the LCD's and Plasma's. Nice features in the user menu and great sound for a Television. August 30 2007, just short of 10 years, it died. While watching, the picture shrunk to a dot and went black as if the power went out. It is dead. Had to pull out an old 1982 Zeinith. It still has a good picture and works well, never a problem. Going from 36" to a 19" is a pain. I'm Just not ready for the too wide flat screens. Guess I will see if I can get the Sony fixed. If I have to get a new TV, I will remember to not be tempted by Sony. The high end Sony didn't have the life of other low end TV's that I've had. Shame on Sony for its over hyped quality.
