Hey had the same problem. Model Panasonic SA-DK2. Turned on the unit and F61 poped up and unit shut down.
F61 code is general code for output stage.
1 - Remove all speaker wiring, volume low and try again.
2 - If not external remove audio amp out put board and resoldier all the legs.
Part 2 fixed mine without a problem. Good Luck.

Hi Bruno
I have just read your e-mail. Our Panasonic DVD Stereo System SA-DK2 is displaying a F61 message. We have tried removing the speaker wire as suggested and we have the unit rigged up so we can play the video/dvd recorder & projector through it.
The problem has not been resolved, I would be grateful for any furthe rinformation you may be able to offer, and look forward to hearing from you.
