My 5 disc dvd was working fine and all of a sudden I recived the F61 code. I'm unable to locate my manual and I have spent two days on the internet trying to find a manual or a way to correct the error and listen to my music the dvd is 2 months old! help. Thank you

By Armando HI guys I saw many people with this problems F61 I am a computer technician so I don't really work with tv or home T/ but that's a simple problem with this units and the reason that I am giving you this tips because my freind had the same problem so I checked his unit and I found the problem ... ok f61 is mostlly over heating power problems like shorts o cooling fan. my friend problems it was the cooling fan. if you have the same problems just check your cooling fan make sure it spins or remove any dust in cooling funs and problems solve also coolinf fan cost like original $20.00 generic cost less just in case U need one

My F61 error in my HT940 was due to the fan not working properly keeping the amplifier at a cool operating level. I spent $20 on a new fan and it resolved the problem. Was quite simple to do myself.

try to clean and vacuum the circuit inside the unit. it works on mine, error code f61 gone.
