Re[2]: removing channel guard on JVC TV

JB38 Posted Jun 11, 2008, in response to:Brent Pedersen

Cannot paste on link as your e-mail address is restricted, and its extremely difficult to enter instructions on this web site, however the manual does state that the code has to be reset after a power interruption (unplug from wall socket) and the standard factory setting is 0000. To set (or reset) Press Menu. "up/down" to select lock code. "left/right" to operate. (padlock appears) Press "Zero" to access. "left/right" to select number. "up/down" for next digit. (carry out same for remaining digits) "up/down" for Finish. "left/right" to save.

Thank you for your reply. On my menu #7 Home Sitter has a house and a locked padlock beside it and #8 Channel Guard when selected has a locked padlock beside it. When I pressed 0 as you instructed I had the following options: 1 set, 2 cancel, 3 set ID No and then below that was a box with 1, 2, & 3 with nothing behind them. I set the ID NO to 000 but it did not unlock it. Please advise. Sorry about the email....you should be able to email me now. I am using a universal remote, would that make any difference? Thanks. Brent
