Connecting the camcorder up when both PC and camcorder are switched on will not damage anything, however whilst its connected under these conditions the camcorder will transfer anything unless its switched off then on again, if it still doesnt work any problems that still exist are liable to be with the PC. Jaspal - I dont quite understand why you have pasted in someone else's old posting, for what reason?
