It should be pointed out that the special free repair offer, which was extended from Oct 2007, has expired at the end of 2007.
However it is known that in some cases JVC is still offering a free repair on a goodwill basis, the qualification being that a person "must" have a receipt to show they are the original purchaser of the device.
The only problem liable to be experienced is that JVC customer services in various parts of the English speaking world seem "not" to know what other areas are doing, making the free repair somewhat "hit and miss" as far as jumping through hoops is concerned.
