Homei have this problem i need help to fix it please my JVC GR-D73AA is having this exact problem it will play back video with no sound but i can't record as all i see is black & there is also no sound i am supposed to be taping my cousins 18th tomorrow night & now i'm in a panic i have cleaned the heads & the problem is still there. your help will be so greatly appreciated. many thanks- Toni

Sounds suspiciously like the dreaded "lens cap" image sensor failure, as the D73 is on a list of models that have the potential to develop that fault, however advice sent via DIRECT e-mail. PS:- "Previously" (but not recently) recorded material should though still play back perfectly OK, that applies to both vision and audio. |
