Re: JVC service or questions

Lou D'Ascenzo Posted Mar 08, 2008, in response to:Stacy Sample

My children purchased a JVC Hard Disc Camcorder model number GZ-MG155u. Here is my problem. Although it is a harddrive I wish to use a card to record my video to. I purchased the card from Future Shop in Ottawa. I went to my Camcorder and followed the instructions to format the card. I changed the settings to SD I formatted the card and began to take a sample video. After taking the video I took the card out of my camera and inserted it into my computer hardrive. Note: when downloading pictures or video from my digital camera I take the card out, place it in my hardrive, a window comes up asking me what I want to do. When I insurt my camcorder card nothing comes up...what am I doing wrong. Do I have to open the Everio icon and go through it? I thought I could just take the card out and the process would be the same as when using my digital camer. The JVC camcorder is excellent and takes great stills and videos, but I am frustrated at the problem I am having with trying to get this card to use. Note: I was told that the memory card is compatible with the camera. Help Please.
