Home | Previous messageRe: Panasonic DVD home theatre SA-HT940 error code F61Raymond K. Lewis Posted Jan 28, 2008, in response to:richard sSuddenly, one day I turned on my relatively new SA-HT940 to play an MP3 DVD and the system came on showing a message "F61" and then went off. Numerous trys gave me the same results - DON'T KNOW WHY I EXPECTED ANYTHING DIFFERENT. I called Panasonic, got a suggestion to check my speaker connections. I disconnected all speakers, reconnected them and when I attempted to turn the system on got the same "F61" message with immediated turn off. "ON - F61 - OFF" has been the response from the system. I have no clue.

Hi, I have the exact same problem with my SA-HT940. Did you get anything done, my system is doing the exact same thing. Yeah well I've got the same story here. My Panasonic SA-HT940 is giving me the same F61 Error Code also. I've had the unit about 1 1/2 years and already giving me problems. I heard if you take the cover off and blow out the fan area that this will help. Haven't tried it yet but I will in a day or two. I believe it to be a overheating issue. I'll let you guys know if it helped me? Hey All !! I have the same problem with my piece of crap. I tried the taking it apart and cleaning it but the same problem occurs, i guess the only thing to do with it is throw the damn thing in the garbage. I say its time for a class action lawsuit! Panasonic seems to have no responsibiliy for this and it happens more times than it doesn't! Same problem here. Seems like lots of people having the same issue. Sounds like a manufacturer's defect. Same song here. Well...I guess thats what we get for buying an all in one piece of crap. Now comes the warranty BS,IF it's covered. We may have just been had. I'll Buy separate components from now on. Sounds like you have a bad output IC. Part number RSN704D66P. Not cheap and not fun to replace. |
