In my case the jack works, but only in mono. I read where some VX-1000's had a bad ground on that jack. Have you encountered this mono-only issue, or did you just have a broken jack? I'm assuming in my situation you would recommend replacing the board, correct? Sony wanted so much to repair this I couldn't believe it! Thanks so much for your help, Dave
