I have a problem with my external mic in jack; it only will work in mono. I noticed this was an old posting so I was wondering if you learned anything? I know Sony wants $515.00 to repair it!

I ordered the pcb that contains the jack. Here is the ordering info I received from Sony:

the FP213 board is part # A7072311A ($17.26) , the jack is part # 156981021 ($4.80)

It was easier to replace the pcb which plugs in instead of trying to solder in a new jack, so I ordered the FP213 board instead of just the jack.
