hey i have the same problem, and situation, i was given a free tv as well, that a guy i know got looked at by a shop and they said it was the high voltage/fly back transformer, he just bought a new condo but its tiny so he couldnt use the big tv in there, im trying to replace the transormer, and have ordered one, but would greatly appreciate some step by step help to guide me along, i cant afford to get it done professionally cuz i just moved to the other side of the country and am strapped for cash right now , if you could throw me some words of wisdom itd be great cheers blair
