that happened to me too i bought a floor model so it diddnt come with anything like a battery .we went to future shop and asked the employee if getting a battery would help .we were about to buy the $100 battery when the employee pluged it in and realized that the lens was internaly broken he suggested that we were togo to jvc and get it fixed.if you go to jvc with a warranty you can get it fixed.
