I have the same issue with the JVC 90 digital camera with the LENS CAP ERROR. I contacted JVC was treated terribly by customer service. I was basically told to send it back to JVC to in New Jersey. Along with mailing the camera I am to write a letter with all of my contact information, the camera's information model and serial number and a note that it is the LENS CAP ERROR. Make a copy for my records and then send it registered with a tracking number. Do not send battery or accessories. If it is the LENS CAP ERROR there will be no charge. If it is something else you will get the diagnostic charge and the repair charges.
