I just got this error this morning. So frustrating! I bought an extended warranty though so there is still one year left. Do you think they will try to fix it or replace it? Because my camera is pretty outdated (DSC W1) and I really wouldn't mind getting a new one. But if they are only going to "repair" it then I think it would be better just to use this method than have it gone for 2 months (or who knows how long) for repairs.
