Yeah, Ive also had problems. It cant read my tapes, play back my tapes, and parts are falling out of the tape bay. i am furious because i can seem to "record", and then the tapes turn out they have nothing on them. ARGH!

This issue is happening to me now did u ever got it fixed? If so what did u do?

Be aware that this model can potentially suffer from whats known as the "lens cap" problem, and that will almost certainly be the reason for your blank tapes.
